Kate Pollard grew up on a farm and horse stud before using a commerce degree to land a spot in a graduate program at a global consulting firm. After five years, Kate realised she’d lost her passion for it, so relocated to Sydney for a senior marketing role at one of the big banks. Six years later, a similar job took her home to Melbourne, where she led a financial services marketing team before moving to realestate.com.au. Over the last 5 years, Kate had 2 boys (Oliver and Finn), and more recently, taken the leap into pursuing my ‘passion project’ Circle In, full-time.
In Kate’s own words “I love, love, love red wine and chocolate. I do pilates when I can and enjoy sitting down every night with my husband to have dinner together without the distraction of phones and TV. My everyday heroes are working mamas. You don’t realise until you have kids how hard it is, and the impact it has on your identity. Working mothers are incredibly efficient, they’ve got a million and one balls in the air and rarely drop any. It’s not until you experience it yourself you realise how amazing and inspirational we are.”
