What would you say if you learnt that more than 72 per cent of working parents claim companies still aren’t doing enough to support them through parental leave or when returning to work?
As an employee, how would you react if you knew that 40 per cent of employees won’t recommend their company as a place to work if they’ve had a bad parental leave experience?
Well that’s exactly what you told us in our recent Circle In survey.
As we approach International Women’s Day this week, we feel that while much progress is being made, there is still much more that can be done to support working parents.
Our survey results show that working mothers and fathers are craving more support and that a parental leave policy isn’t enough by itself. In fact, 52 per cent of respondents pointed to support from senior leaders as the most important parental leave initiative, ahead of having a parental leave strategy and programs (50 per cent).
It’s great to see that we are making a real difference to you since our launch in November last year, with 56 per cent believing that Circle In had already had a positive impact. We are thrilled to know that we are helping support you every step of the way and that we are well on our way to achieving our target of supporting 50,000 women.
We are proud to play our role in driving meaningful change and we promise we will continue to #pressforchange
